It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilfred Stafford announce his passing on Friday, September 3rd at the Labrador Health Centre in his 72nd year. He will be sadly missed by his child Janine Stafford of Ottawa, ON; sisters: Marion (Robert) Laton of Prescott, ON, and Susan Stafford of Bristol, Que.; brothers: Donald (Bette) of Churchville, NY, and Lawrence (Faye) of Campbell's Bay, Que.; sisters-in-law: Kathleen Stafford of Lewiston, NY, Lena Chafe of Petty Harbour, NL, and Marjorie Coughlan of St. John's, NL; brothers-in-law: Maurice Young of Orlando, FL, and Michael Kennedy of Goose Bay, Lab.; and special neices and nephew: CeAnne Kennedy of Lac Le Biche, AB, Christel (Mike) Kennedy of Fort McMurray, AB, Claudia (Joe) Kennedy of Churchill Falls, Lab., Cassandra (Richard) Decourville of Fort McMurray, AB and Mick (Donna) of Goose Bay, Lab. As well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Anne; parents Edward and Violet; siters: Mae Young and Edith Tanner; brothers: Herbert, Robert and infant brother Elmer; and special sister-in-law Brenda Kennedy. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 7th at 2 PM from the Roman Catholic Church wtih interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations in his memory may be made to UNICEF.
