ELSIE CORA BRAKE (nee Ashford) Irishtown, NL (Fomerly of Rose Blanche, NL) It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elsie Brake announce her sudden passing on Saturday, September 4th, 2010 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 55 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her four sons: Henry Ashford (Wendy), Jamie Brake (Coolene), Ian Brake (Colleen), Robert Brake (Ashley) and their father, Maxwell Brake; grandchildren: Jamie, Jessica, Jaylen, Jenna, Cole, Jake and Matt; loving companion: Michael Sinclair; brothers and sisters: Shirley (Don) LeRiche, Dave (Debbie) Ashford, Ross (Monica) Ashford, John Ashford, Judy Ann (Tim) Stevens, Viola (John) Skinner and Ruby (Brian) Hann; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Mary Ashford and by her brother Raymond Ashford. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. , and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, with Prayers at 11:00 A.M. There will be no formal funeral service. Cremation to follow with burial on Thursday, September 9th at 2:00 p.m. at the family plot, Anglican Cemetery, Margaree.
