It is with great sadness that the family of the late Flora Bennett announce her passing at the age of 88 years, on Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at the Bonne Bay Health Centre, Norris Point in the presence of her family. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her sons, Kevin (Marie), Matthew (Nina) both of St. Pauls, daughters, Yvonne LeRoux (Brian), Stephenville, Pauline Ryan (Raymond), Codroy Valley, Bernadette LeRoux (Gordon), Stephenville, Monica Avelino, Brampton, ON, Rita Coles (Albert) Fort McMurray, AB, Nora Colbourne, St. Pauls, Christina Barnes (Larry), Jane Crewe (Ralph), both of Labrador City, special daughter (granddaughter) Venece Biggin (Walter), Daniel's Harbour, 37 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Bradley House (Margaret) and sisters, Winnie Perry and Rillie Hall, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley, daughter, Vevian, son Jerome, mother, Caroline House, father, John A. Brake, brother, Clayton House and sister, Doris Payne. The family will be receiving friends at Our Lady of the Coast Roman Catholic Church, St. Paul's, Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 25th, at 10:30 a.m. with Father Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Pauls. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one' choice.
