Winston Churchill Power October 22, 1945 - September 24, 2010 Passed peacefully away on Friday, September 24, 2010 Winston Churchill Power of Corner Brook at the age of 64 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 39 years, Ferne, daughters Krista (Jon) MacDonald and Karen (Scott Parsons). Precious grandchild Ava Simone MacDonald, whom he adored. Brothers: George, Bill (Margaret), Doug (Enid), Iven (Sylvia), Keith, Terry (Kathy) and Frank. Sisters: Jeanetta Frasier (Rejean), Sadie Quilty (Randy) and Christine Hicks (Wayne). Also leaving to mourn, an extensive number of wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins as well as a wide circle of cherished friends, especially Dougal Pye and Bernie Campbell. He was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Dorothy Power and his brother Albert. The family will receive friends at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A celebration of Wince’s life will take place at Curling Memorial United Church on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 2 pm with Reverend Clayton Parsons officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Curling Memorial United Church Fund or The Children’s Wish Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
