ELSIE LILLIAN HYNES Corner Brook, NL With saddened hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Elsie Lillian Hynes (nee Brinston) age 78, in the presence of our Lord, Wednesday, October 13th, 2010 at 6:05 p.m. surrounded by her family while singing the songs “Amazing Grace” and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”. Born March 7, 1932 Elise was predeceased by her parents Freeman Walter and Susannah (Childs) Brinston; sister: Jeanette; brothers: Junior, Gordon, Papa John, Ronald Piercey; and daughter-in-law: Mary (Peddle) Hynes. She leaves to mourn sisters: Mary Childs, Beatrice (Kenneth deceased) Lundrigan; brothers: Soloman Brinston and Kenneth Brinston; 12 children: Mary (Wilard) Pynn, Brian (Lorraine) Hynes, Walter Hynes, Diane Hynes, Robert Hynes, Paul (Marion) Hynes, Clyde Hynes, Susane (Darrell) Ralph, Donna (Leonard) Campbell, Wayne Hynes, Julie (Dennis) Slavin, and David Hynes; 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and previous husband of 34 years, William Hynes. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. and Friday, 10-12 noon. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 15th at 2:00 p.m. from West Side Tabernacle, Elizabeth Street. Pastor Darren Sacrey officiating, followed by interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
