It is with great sadness that the family of the late Helen Marie George announce her passing on Saturday, March 26, 2005 in the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 72 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving brother Dougal George, sister-in-law and dear friend, Pressie, two beloved nephews and their wives, Bob and Patty, Jerry and Tina, her care giver Colleen White, as well as many cousins, friends and former colleagues. Helen was predeceased by her parents, Geraldine and Ernest George. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Corner Brook, today, Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 10:00 - 12:00 noon. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 29th, from the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street at 2:00 p.m. with Archbishop Stewart Payne officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bay of Islands SPCA or to the Canadian Cancer Soceity.
