Corner Brook, NL (Formerly of Conche, NL) It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Carey announce his passing on Sunday, October 31st, 2010 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Mary (nee Brennan), Corner Brook; brother: Ben (Alicia) Carey, Corner Brook; sister: Madeline (Ken) Pelrine, Lowersackville, NS; nieces and nephews: Robert, Francis, Regina, Maureen, Margie, Arlene, Aiden, Ann, Mark and Kimberly; special cousins and friends: Ann Dower and Ann Marie Baker; brothers-in-law: John Hepditch and Tom and Jim Brennan and sister-in-law: Genevieve Hatcher, as well as other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Clifford and Margaret Carey and sister, Marie Hepditch. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Monday, 7-9:00 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 3rd, at 10:30 A.M. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue, Father Ambrose Hynes officiating, followed by interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
