Mary Catherine Gale July 3, 1920 – November 7, 2010 Doyles, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Catherine (Kay) Gale announces her passing on Sunday, November 7th, 2010 at the Charles L. LeGrow Centre in Port Aux Basques at the age of 90 years. She was predeceased by her husband: Walter J. Gale; son: Francis Gale; brothers: Bill Chaisson, Gerard (Kay) Chaisson; sister: Rita (Stan) MacDonald; granddaughter: Dianna (Bernard) Downey and daughter-in-law: Mary (Mamie) Gale. Leaving to mourn are her sons: Kevin (Joan) Gale, Melvin (Colleen) Gale and Brian (Lorna) Gale; grandchildren: Corinne, Glen, Stephanie, Melanie, Adam, Scott, Courtney, Jeffrey, Megan and Mark; great grandchildren: Carla, Ryan, Marissa, Trevor, Kail, Halle and Evan; sister: Terry (John) Barany; step-brother: Hubert (Aggie) Walters; sisters-in-law: Marg Chaisson, Geraldine Gale; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and cherished friends. Visitation will take place from St. Ann’s Parish in Upper Ferry, Codroy Valley, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 9th at 2:00 p.m. Father’s Maurice O’Quinn and Edward Terry officiating, followed by interment at Mount St. Thomas cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Dialysis Unit of Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre, Port Aux Basques.
