FRANCIS JOSEPH DICKS Corner Brook, NL 1955 - 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Francis Joseph Dicks announce his passing at his residence at the age of 55 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his 3 brothers: Brendan (Anne) Dicks, Corner Brook, Michael (Marcella) Dicks, Prince George, BC and Thomas (Sheila) Dicks, Sydney, NS; 8 sisters: Margaret Kelly, Mount Pearl, Veronica (Douglas) Livingstone, Dartmouth, NS, Roberta (Brian) Skanes, Boom Siding, Jocelyn (Glenn) Candow, Bedford, NS, Mary Dillman, Dartmouth, NS, Colleen (Kevin) Burke, Bread Albane, PEI, Marie (Allan) Pitcher, Kingston, Ont and Maxine (John) Manuel, Lantz, NS; sisters-in-law: Marina Dicks, Shirley Dicks and Peggy Dicks all of Corner Brook; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John Samuel Dicks, October 31, 1970, mother Mary Cecilia Dicks, March 2, 1995, brothers Bartholomew Joseph Dicks, August 10, 2004, John Augustin Dicks, April 11, 2005 and Gerard Samuel Dicks, April 12, 2006, sisters Margaret Mary Dicks, 1945 and Carla Marie Dicks, 1948, brother-in-law Patrick Kelly, December 12, 1995. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 30 at 10:30 a.m. from All Hallows Parish, Humber Road with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
