MABEL KATHLEEN BECK Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mabel Beck announce her passing on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital after a short courageous battle with Cancer. Mabel was predeceased by her parents Salome (1984) and Thomas Beck (1987); infant sister Florence; sisters Ivy Randell (Len) (1997) , Ruby Attwood (1997); brother Ralph (Sadie) (1995); and special nephew Allen Randell. She will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends Sister Evelyn (Cecil Miles); brothers: Eric (Francis) and Robert (Sylvia); brother-in-law Albert Attwood; many nieces and nephews and their families: Judy (Tony Hurley), Ed (Glenys) Attwood, Loretta (Gerard Lee), Corner Brook, Karen (Rod Connolly), Labrador City, Connie (Henry Starkes), Alberta, Brian (Carolyn) Beck, Gary (Heather) Beck, Beverley, Janie (Danny) Duhart, Terry, Stephen, Wilson Beck, Susan Beck (Jamie), Glenn, Nova Scotia, Ron and Bob Miles, Linda, Cindy, Sandra and Ann, Tom (Diane) Beck, David, Bob (Janet) Beck, Barbara and Brenda, as well as many great nieces and nephews: special neighbors and friends: Colleen and Gus Carey and Joan and Rudy Wells and her pet cat, Binky. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place from The First Pentecostal Church, Premier Drive on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., Pastor Velmer Bessey and Pastor Norman Joy. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Bay of Island SPCA or a charity of one’s choice.
