It is with great sadness that the family of the late Vernon Blake announce his passing on Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Labrador Health Centre at the age of 64 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Rosamond; children: Amanda (Eddy) and Sherry (Rick); grandchildren: Paige and Rowan; brothers: Junior (Audrey) and Phil (Lena); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Marjorie and Alvin Blake Sr. and sister Florence. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 16 at 2:00 p.m. from the North West River United Church with Rev. Kathy Brett officiating. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the United Church, North West River, A0P 1M0.
