ROWE John Augustus Irishtown, NL April 6th, 1922 - April 5th, 2005 Merchant Marine WWII It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Augustus Rowe announce his passing on Tuesday, April 5th, 2005 at his family residence in Irishtown at the age of 82 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Barbara (Glen) Young, Irishtown with whom he resided; Mercedes (David) Hynes, Pasadena; Marilyn (Cyril) Terry, Ft. Nelson, BC.; Jacqueline (Tom) Legge, Corner Brook; Allen (Barbara) Rowe, Irishtown; Doreen Gaultois, Irishtown and Sylvia (Gene) Colborne, Corner Brook; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers: Louis Rowe, Irishtown, Alphonsus (Michelle) Rowe, Ottawa; step-brother Stanley Rowe, Corner Brook; sister Theresa Leidy, Illinois; step-sister Monica (George) Anderson, Irishtown; sister-in-law Audrey Penney, Irishtown; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Sylvia “Dollie”, 1994, parents Joseph, 1976 and Delia, 1936, brothers Phillip, Michael and one in infancy, sisters Mercedes and Mary. Friends may visit Fillatre's funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Corner Brook today, Thursday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 8th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Summerside with Rev. Sidney Payne officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Summerside.
