DONAHUE Shawn Joseph Halfway Point, NL March 24th, 1940 - April 11th, 2005 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Shawn Joseph Donahue announce his passing on Monday, April 11th, 2005 at his family residence in Halfway Point at the age of 65 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Marie (nee Gale); three daughters: Karen (Dexter) Bellows, Marina (Glen) Brothers and Yvette (Shawn) Chafe, all of Halfway Point; grandchildren: Terri Donahue, Jennifer, Natasha, Sarah and Danika Bellows, Brianna and Braeden Brothers, Santana Chafe, Melissa and Danielle Donahue; one great-granddaughter Jade Donahue, mother Gerona Donahue, Corner Brook, brothers: Basil (Vivian) Donahue, Curling and Eric (Gladys) Companion, ON; sister Sheila (Gerald) Young, Corner Brook; brother-in-law Joseph Gale, Corner Brook; sisters-in-law: Edith (Rex) Snooks and Betty (Ron) Snooks, both of Curling; special friend Leonard Greene, Halfway Point; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Brian, 1994 and father Arthur, 1981. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street today, Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14th at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Benoit's Cove with Father Bernard Buckle officiating. Cremation to follow at Shawn's request. Interment will be held on Friday, April 15th at 2:00 p.m. at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Benoit's Cove.
