It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Joseph “Jack” Parks announce his passing on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 79 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughters: Mary Kearley and Lorraine (Ron) Hemsley; grandchildren: Shawn (Charlene) Hemsley and Bill Hemsley; great-grandchildren: Teagan and Tanner Hemsley; sisters: Bess Hickey and Ann (Gordon) Hibbs; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Bessie Parks (Nee Crank), father William Parks, mother Mary Alice (Nee Anderson), brothers Willie, Alexander and Edmund Parks, sisters Theresa (Charlie) Hurley and Veronica (Sam) Hibbs, brother-in-law Patrick Hickey. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 30 at 10:30 a.m. from All Hallows Roman Catholic Church, Humber Road with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium with interment at a later date. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
