DICKS John Augustus Corner Brook, NL August 16th, 1940 - April 11th, 2005 It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Augustus Dicks announce his passing on Monday, April 11th, 2005 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 64 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Shirley (nee: Allen) and son Johnny; brothers: Brendan (Ann), Corner Brook, Michael (Marcella), British Columbia, Jerrett (Peggy), Francis, both of Corner Brook and Thomas (Sheila), Nova Scotia; sisters: Margaret Kelly, St. John's, Veronica (Douglas) Livingstone, Nova Scotia, Roberta (Brian) Skanes, Corner Brook, Jocelyn (Glen) Candow, Mary Dillman, both of Nova Scotia, Colleen (Kevin) Burke, P.E.I., Marie (Allan) Pitcher, ON and Maxine (John) Manuel, Nova Scotia; sister-in-law Marina Dicks, Corner Brook; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Mary, sisters Marguerite and Carla, brother Bart and brother-in-law Pat Kelly. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Corner Brook today, Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14th at 10:30 a.m. from All Hallows Roman Catholic Church, Humber Road with Father Gordon Grace officiating.
