MARGARET MARY COLLINS (Nee Lynch) 1932-2011 Margaret Mary (Lynch) Collins passed peacefully away in the early morning of March 28, 2011 in the comfort and presence of her loving children. She was predeceased by her husband Gerard Francis Collins Sr., her infant son, Gary Michael and her parents Joseph and Agnes (Foley) Lynch. Born in Whitbourne, NL on January 23, 1932, she graduated from St Clare’s Nursing School in St. John’s, and worked for many years in Corner Brook at Western Memorial Hospital and the VON. She leaves to mourn her children, Greg (Joanne Crocker) of Corner Brook; Gerry (Michelle Collins) of New Westminster BC; Danny (Diane Strang) of Maple Ridge BC; Mary of Dartmouth; Margaret (Marc Lapointe) of Moncton NB; Barbara (Paul Boucher) of Toronto, ON; Michael (Phyllis McCrindle) of Acton ON and Tracey (Greg Loskow) of Truro NS. Margaret will be greatly missed by her seventeen grandchildren, Joseph and Mark Collins; Amy and Stephanie Collins (Dwayne Keough); Gabrielle, Catherine, David and Suzanne Lapointe; Michael, Daniel and Julianne Collins; Olivia and Elise Boucher; Ian, Christie, Sara and Jennifer Lawless and their father Steve Lawless; two great grandchildren, Thomas and Aaron Keough and her brother-in-law, Dermot Collins of Louisville, Kentucky. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Thursday and Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 2 at 10:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Plan Canada, Bay of Islands SPCA, NL Lung Association or to a charity of one’s choice.
