EDWARD ALBERT COLLETT Portland Creek, NL 1938 – 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ed Collett announce his passing on Sunday, April 17th, 2011 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 73 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife: Margaret; children: Meda (Hughie Wentzell), Richard, Bernice (Harvey House Jr.), Harvey, Oscar and Marie (Greg Payne); grandchildren: Michelle, Leon, Justin, Jason, Dagan, Randy and Jordan; great grandchildren: Cameron and Kirah; brothers and sisters: Fred Collett (Olive), Neil Collett (Marg), Lily Perry, Grace (Harold Sheppard); brother-in-law: Robert Brown; sister-in-law: Sonora Collett; as well as a large circle of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Neil and Alice; sister: Effie; brother: Douglas; mother and father-in-law: Rita and Maurice Caines and brothers-in-law: William Perry and Ralph Caines. Granting his wishes, cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium, Pasadena. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 20th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Joseph’s Anglican church, Portland Creek, Bishop Leonard Whitten officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
