Margaret Mary Dawson affectionately known as Maggie May passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2011 surrounded by her family and friends at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center in Stephenville Crossing, NL at the age of 95 years. Predeceased in death by her husband George; parents Mary and Joseph LeBlanc (White); sister Marjorie Sealock; brothers Arthur White and David White. Maggie is survived by her sister Melinda (Larry) Smith of Tucson, Arizona and many nieces, nephews and friends. Maggie May was a loving and compassionate person who always put family and friends before herself. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the staff of the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center for the wonderful care they had given Maggie May. Visitation will take place from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, St. George’s on Sunday from 2 … 4 and 7 … 9 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. … 12 noon from where the Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Gerard Patry officiating. Interment will take place following the service in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Shallop Cove. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
