SHEARS Violet Louise Rocky Harbour March 18th 1908 … April 24th 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Violet Shears announce her passing on Sunday, April 24th, 2011 at the Bonne Bay Hospital in Norris Point at the age of 103. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her 8 children: Ethel (Curtis), Mona, Betty (Lloyd), Gordon (Shirley), Lewellyn (Ivy), Walter (Dorcas), Irving (Dallis), Mae (Wheeler), son in law Laudrick Endicott, daughter in law Olive Shears, 22 grandchildren, 35 great grand children, 26 great great grandchildren, sisters in law Eliza and Sylvia Cullihall, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was pre-deceased by her husband Gordon, son Scott, daughter Linda and grandson David Major. Friends may visit St Matthews Anglican Church in Rocky Harbour Tuesday April 26th from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 27th at 2PM with Rev John Olsson officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
