ARTHUR LAWSON GALPIN STEPHENVILLE CROSSING, NL FEBRUARY 9, 1932 – MAY 8, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Arthur Lawson Galpin announce his passing on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, NL at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife June; daughter Sharon Galpin; grandchildren: Dylan, Brooke, Liam Pumphrey; sister Ruby (Chuck) McLaughlin as well as five nieces, five nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Bertha Galpin; brothers: Llewellyn, Thomas, Jim; infant sister Susan. The funeral service will take place from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in St. George’s, NL on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Gwen Butler officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Church Cemetery. To honour Arthur’s request cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted. A reception will take place at the St. George’s Legion following the service.
