Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Glenneth Simms announce her passing on Saturday, May 21st, 2011 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 83 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Robert (Emily), Barbara, Ellen (Sergio), Brian (Anne), Karl, Ruth, David (Marie) and Lisa (George); grandchildren: Patti, Jamie, Tony, Nicole, Sheldon (Josie), Kye, Samantha (Travis), Matthew, Kailie, Tyson, Ryan and Cindy; a special Thank You to Mom's angel, Jessica Duffney; great-grandchild Brianna, sisters: Lucy, Sylvia (Max), Alma (Gerry) and Barbara (John); brothers: Ron (Annie) and Levi (Daisy);sisters…in-law: Olive and Edna; along with a large circle of other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Gideon, brother: William (Doreen) and sister: Marion (Larry); brother-in-law: Gene. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 24th at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, Major Judy Goudie officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Food Bank Network.
