It is with great sadness that the family of the late Carl Savery announce his passing at his home on March 31, 2011, age 76 years. He was predeceased by brothers Frank and Gordon and sister, Jean Brake. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his loving wife Mabel of 51 years, 2 daughters, Carolann (Frank) Short, Lena (Lou Lomond), 2 sons, Terry (Geraldine Bird), Michael (Shirley), brothers-in-law, Ernest (Jane) Chant, Clyde (Daphne) Chant, Burnt Islands, sisters-in-law, Alice (Fred) Francis, Burnt Islands, Elizabeth (Cecil Taylor), Ethel Savery, Port aux Basques. He also leaves to mourn 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a large number of nieces and nephews. Visitation took place on April 2 and 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 at Fillatre's Funeral Home. Funeral service took place on April 4 at St. James Anglican Church, officiated by Rev. Hannah Dicks with interment at Barachois Hill Cemetery.
