Elizabeth Bertha James (nee Wells) "Betty" Elizabeth Bertha James "Betty" entered into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on Friday, March 30th 2018 in her 87th year. She passed away after a brief illness at the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Loving Mom of Judy Wells (June) of Mount Moriah, NL; Janette Hull (Jim) of Pasadena, NL; Barbara Marshall of St. John’s, NL; Donna Dobbin of Abu Dhabi, UAE; Lorna Pike-Wakely (Dave) of Brampton, Ontario and Tammy Cornick (Billy) of Edmonton, AB. Cherished Nan of Kerry, Shelley, Charlene, Jeff, Kevin, Jason, Bob, Michael, Chris, Lisa, Jimmy, Patti, Erica & great-grandmother of 16. Beloved sister of Daisy Park, Mona Park, Joan Reader-Wells, Jim Wells, Dougald Wells, Charlie Wells, Terry Wells and Byron Wells. Predeceased by husband Wilfred James, daughter Sharon, parents Stephen and Dorothy Wells, sister Jessie Stratton, son-in-law Raymond Marshall, grandson Jeremy Hull and great-granddaughter Abigail Dobbin. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Her cremated remains will be resting at Fillatre’s Funeral Home on St. Marks Avenue in Corner Brook Newfoundland. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 9 from 7 - 9 pm and Tuesday, April 10 from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Service to be held at the West Side Tabernacle, 37 Elizabeth Street in Corner Brook, NL on Wednesday, April 11 at 1:00pm. Internment at Mount Patricia Cemetery to follow.
