ISOBEL B. BRAKE (nee Simmons) Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Isobel Brake announce her sudden passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the age of 75 years. Left to mourn, her loving husband of 55 years Bert; her ever devoted children: Lynn Hynes, Lori Veitch (John), and Peter (Bobbie) Brake; daughter-in-law: Juanita Brake; three grandsons: Drew Hynes (Krista Hann), Adam and David Brake; brothers: Wally (Elaine) Simmons and Roy Simmons; sisters: Verna (Ron) Gill and Armorel (Bill) Kinsella; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends including her special group of quilters. She was predeceased by her parents: Wallace and Kathleen Simmons; son, Bert Jr.; son-in-law: Ed Hynes and grandsons: Nathan and Shaun Ryan Brake. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 15th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, Park Drive. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
