MABEL PETERSON February 27, 1921 – August 1, 2011 Pasadena, NL Mabel Peterson, wife of late Carl Peterson of Pasadena, Newfoundland passed peacefully away at 8:25 A.M. on Monday, August 1st, 2011, at the age of 90, at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home. Left to mourn three sons: Keith (Bonnie), Alton (Greta) and Graham (Sharon); not to be left out her grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers: Adolph Penney (Trudy) and Keith Penney (Josie); sister-in-law: Jessie Penney; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by six siblings: Jack (Hazel), Margaret (Jim White), Victor (Annie), George, Bruce (Dorcas) and Graham Penney. Visitation will take place from The Humber Valley United Church in Pasadena on Tuesday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 4th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Keith Peterson and Reverend Andrew Wright officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. Mabel was very active in Community events and also with the Pasadena Seniors Club, where she had many friends and was very much loved and respected by all. In her final years she resided with her youngest son Graham and his wife Sharon, who took care of her. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
