DONALD CARL MEIWALD Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Donald Carl Meiwald announce his passing at the Health Sciences Center, St. John's, NL, on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011 at the age of 59 years. Don leaves to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Bernadette (Seaward); one precious daughter, Allison (Robert Davis); one caring sister, Elizabeth (Pius Beales); one aunt, Joan Hutchings (Clyde); sisters-in-law: Sr. Kieran Seaward (Presentation Convent, St. John's, NL), Mary Harriman (James, Moncton, NB), Rita Corcoran (Danny, Quispamsis, NB), Lorraine Gillingham (Paul, Corner Brook), Louise Seaward-Gagnon (Real, Gatineau, QC); brother-in-law: Paul Seaward (Corner Brook); nieces: Danielle Corcoran, Janice Spencer, Stephanie Izzard, Laura Trites; nephews: Jeffery Harriman, Paul Seaward Jr., Darren Gillingham, Peter Harriman; great-nieces: Jillian Harriman, Gina Spencer, Charlotte Harriman, Eva Trites, Madeline Izzard; great-nephews: Colin Spencer, Nathan Trites, James Harriman; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Don was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Hazel Meiwald and his parents-in-law Lawrence and Rita Seaward. Following Don's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Fillatre's Funeral Home, St. Mark's Ave., on Saturday August 6th from 7pm to 9pm, and Sunday August 7th from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at Fillatre's Funeral Chapel on Monday August 8th at 10:30am with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of choice.
