HINKS Delia C “The Cookie Lady” Deer Lake (formerly of Pasadena) 1933 - 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Delia C. Hinks announce her passing on Saturday, August 27th, 2011 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, age 77. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Jerry (Heather) of Le Duc, AB, Rhoda Curtis (Mike) and Matt (Jean) of Deer Lake, Jamie of Edmonton, AB. and Roy (Jody) of Nepean, ON. Stepchildren: Dorothy (Howard) of Deer Lake , Bernard of Toronto, siblings: Elizabeth Major and Lorraine Vincent (Frank) of Pasadena, Hubert (Ursula), Clarence (Nadalca), Melita Young (Ralph), Matties (Ann), Calvin (Allana) all of St Judes, Eric (Marjorie) and Joe (Sharon) both of Toronto, grandchildren: Jeremy Hinks, Melissa Fifield (Aaron), Peter Curtis (Angel), great grandchildren: Ethan Hinks and Ella Fifield, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Harry (Henry) Hinks, stepson Jerome Hinks, parents Lawrence (Bernie) and Mary Hynes, siblings Geraldine and Lester and brother in law Clevis Major. Friends may visit Fillatres Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, visitation will continue at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Parish in Pasadena on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass of a Christian Burial will take place from Holy Rosary Parish on Tuesday, August 30th 10:30 AM with Monsignor Jim Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot, Church Street Pasadena. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Immaculate Conception Parish in Deer Lake or Holy Rosary Parish in Pasadena.
