It is with great sadness that the family of the late Vera Jeans announce her passing on Friday, September 2nd, 2011 at Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn with very fond and loving memories her sister: Lorraine Penney (Aaron Edgecombe); niece and nephews: Heather Long (Clayton), Arch Goosney (Margaret) and Paul Goosney (Elaine); great niece and nephews: Erin, Liam, Cole, Michael, Mark and Scott; as well as other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Jeans; sisters: Winnie Goosney (Clifton) and Mary Butt (Jack); and brother: Robert Penney (Marie). Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 4th at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street. Bishop Leonard Whitten officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bay of Islands SPCA.
