GENEVIEVE (JEAN) LUCAS STEPHENVILLE CROSSING, NL JUNE 30, 1920 … OCTOBER 23, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Genevieve Lucas announce her passing on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, NL at the age of 91 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Marion (Kirby) Coates, Dennis Lucas, Bernard Lucas, Larry Lucas; grandchildren Tara (Danny) Bennett, Stephen Lucas, Tylor Lucas, Christopher (Nathlie) Lucas; great-grandchildren: Kale Lucas, Kanna Lucas, Nicholas Bennett; sister Marion Russell as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband William; parents Joseph and Mary Ellen Bennett; children: Leo, David, Evelyn, Irene, Charles; grandchildren Yolanda and Janice. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2 … 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, West Street, Stephenville Crossing. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from Assumption Parish in Stephenville Crossing with Father Gerard Patry officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Stephenville Crossing.
