It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Edith Jean Turner on Friday, October 28th, 2011 at Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 78 years. Edith was born in Deer Lake, NL. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories sons: Gerald (Leila), Todd and Christopher (Rebecca); daugthers: Debby Gagnon (John) and Lana Turner - Jean (Raymond); grandchildren: Scott, Laura, Robert, Heidi, Justin, Dominic, Jessica, Maxwell, Adam and Grace; great grandchildren: Austin, Brandon, Stephen, Ethan, Aalijah, Charlotte, Liam and Taylor; brothers: Maxwell (Lydia), Tony (Marie) and William Jr. (Betty); sisters: Betty Hoban(Tim), Lynda Beckingham and her daughter Carol Lynn; a very dear niece Wanda McAllister; brother-in-law: Roy Turner; sisters-in-law: Muriel Landry and Lorraine Wiseman, as well a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband Gerald Maxwell Turner; mother and father-in-law: Ernest and Maude Turner; parents: William and Dorothy Wiseman; brother: Winston; sister-in-law: Julia; brother: John Wiseman; sister: Audrey and brother-in-law: Raymond Haggart; sister: Joan Wiseman and sister-in-law: Olive Wiseman and brother-in-law: Rheal Landry. Visitation will take place on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake. The Funeral servie will be held on Tuesay, November 1st, at 2:00 p.m. from St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, with Reverend Edmund Laldin officiating. Interment to follow at the Interdenominational Cemetery, Wight’s Road. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Anglican Church Accessibility Fund or to the Brain Injury Foundation.
