MATILDA PENNELL July 8, 1926 - November 6, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Matilda Pennell announce her passing on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility at the age of 85 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter-in-law Janet Pennell; grandchildren: Jennifer (Bill) Bourgeois, Christa (Scott) Mosher and David Pennell (Janesta MacDonald); great-grandchildren: Ashton, Dawson and Griffen; sister Mary (Elliott) Forsey; sister-in-law Madeline Bishop; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Oswald Pennell, sons David and James Pennell, parents James and Julia Bishop, brothers Thomas, John Francis and Andrew Bishop, sisters Rita Foley and Helen Doyle. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel with Monsignor Jim Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
