Mary Johanna CAREY (nee Brennan) Corner Brook, NL December 1, 1926 - November 7, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Carey announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, November 7th , 2011 at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sister Genevieve (Eric) Hatcher; brothers: James (Dorothy) Brennan and Tom (Agnes) Brennan; brothers-in-law: Ben (Alicia) Carey and Ralph Spencer; sister-in-law Madeline (Ken) Pelrine; special friends: Anne Dower and Anne Marie Baker, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by husband John Carey (Oct. 31, 2010); parents James and Mary Brennan; sisters: Bernice Spencer and Elizabeth (Pat) Hepditch and brother Patrick (Eva) Brennan. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday between the hours of 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, November 10th at 10:30 a.m. from Most Holy Redeemer RC Cathedral, Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
