<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The family of the late Norbert May announce his passing in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on April 23, 2018 at the age of 82 years. Bert the Barber, as he was more affectionately known, moved to Happy Valley-Goose Bay from Germany in 1958.  </span><span style="font-size: medium;">He served as barber to both the residents of the town and a large number of Military personnel stationed at CFB Goose Bay.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">  </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Bert’s Barber Shop has been an icon of Goose Bay, serving at least three generations in hair cutting services. Of interest, he cut hair for Pierre Elliott Trudeau and George Bush. He leaves to mourn, his son, Peter May.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">  </span><span style="font-size: medium;">He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth and his son, Roland.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">  </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Cremation has taken place.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">  </span><span style="font-size: medium;">There will be no visitation.</span></span></p>
