John “ Charlie” Payne Cox’s Cove, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charlie Payne announce his sudden passing at his residence on Thursday, January 5th, 2012 at the age of 55 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories : his wife, Judy (nee White); sons: Jeff Janes (Judy), Grant Janes, Melvin Payne (Shelley), Norman Payne and Nathan Payne (Brittany); daughter: Renee Furlong (Scott); grandchildren: Logan Payne, Zachery Janes, Marcus, Gavin and Paige Furlong; brother: Philip (Annie) Payne; mother-in-law: Lillian Abbott; brothers and sisters-in-law: Shirley Payne, Norman White (Lillian), Tony White (Evelyn), Louise (Russell) Park and Sherry (Michael) Robinson; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Winnifred and Henry Payne; brother: Cyril Payne and father-in-law: Ralph Abbott. Visitation will take place from St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, January 9th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Joan Coles officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
