With many wonderful memories and sadness we mourn the passing of a dear father and grandfather, George Watson, on Saturday, January 28th , 2012 at the age of 89 years, on the DVA Ward, Corner Brook Long Term Care. Born in Undine, New Brunswick from where he joined the Armed Forces in the Second World War after which he moved to Newfoundland 70 years ago. Forever remember by daughter Nancy (Douglas), granddaughters: Rhonda (Jamie), Susan (Glenn); great grandchildren: Steven and Skye; brother: Ellis (Gerry); sisters: Violet (Garth) and Betsy (Guy); sisters-in-law: Margaret, Jeannie, Patrica and Caroline. He was predeceased by his wife Florence; grandson: Stephen; parents: Mary and Adrill; sisters: Elva and Francis; brothers: Gorden, Adrian, Cedric, Arthur and Donald. Friends may visit St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church in St. David’s on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 1st at 2:30 p.m. Father Terry Rose officiating, with interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
