LAING Stanley Joseph McIvers, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stanley Joseph Laing announce his passing on Tuesday, May 31st, 2005 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 75 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his sons: Gary (Linda), William (Sarah), Robert all of Ontario, James (Joan), McIvers and Stanley Jr., Ontario; daughters: Debbie (Norman) Gilley, Susan (Gary) Bradshaw both of Ontario, Shirley (Mick) Ellsworth, Irishtown and Karen (Rick) Alexander, Ontario. 18 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Brother Eric Laing, Ontario; sisters: Marion Pye, Ontario and Shirley Laing. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Edith, brothers Walter and William. Friends may visit The Church of The Epiphany, McIvers today beginning 1:00 PM from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 2nd at 2:00 PM with Rev. Joan Coles officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, McIvers. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
