It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sterling Frederick Chubbs announce his passing on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the Health Science Centre, St. John’s at the age of 67 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 40 years Sybil; children: Michelle Chubbs and Christopher Chubbs (Amy); grandson Michael; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Susanna and Archibald Chubbs. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley - Goose Bay on Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church in Happy Valley - Goose Bay. Interment to follow at the United Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the family.
