EDWARD JAMES MCKAY Deer Lake, NL May 3, 1930 - February 11, 2012 Passed peacefully away into the presence of the Lord surrounded by his loving family, Edward James McKay at his family residence on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the age of 81 years. He was predeceased by his parents Percie and Rebecca MacKay, daughter Sherry McKay and brother Baxter McKay. A very special thank you to granddaughter Lisa Pinksen, RN primary care provider for her grandfather during his illness. Friends may visit Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Bennett Avenue on Sunday from the hours of 7-9 and Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 14 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Peter Grimes officiating. Interment to follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, Wight’s Road. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to his grandson Missionary Stephen McKay or Emmanuel Pentecostal Church Building Fund.
