PARSONS Dorothy Annie March 24th 1938 – April 26th 2012 Deer Lake NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Parsons announce her passing on Thursday, April 26th, 2012 at the Long Term Care Facility in Corner Brook at the age of 74. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 56 years Clifton Parsons, children: Clifton JR (Patricia); Toronto, Jocelyn Parsons (Dan Pennell); Toronto, Jackie Parsons (Doug Pool); Toronto, grandchildren: Michelle, Sarah, Dan, Carleigh, step grandchildren: Jeremy and Jason, great grandson Joshua, sisters and brothers-in-law: Ruby Prosper, Verna Prosper, Jessie Butt (Jack Sheppard), Pearl (Bursey) Crocker, Carrie (Guy) Bishop, Sadie (Lester) Langdon, Dorothy Parsons and Grace (Melvin) Nichols, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Annie and George Prosper, mother and father-in-law Sarah and George Parsons, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Sunday, April 29th between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9PM, from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, April 30th at 11 AM with Monsignor Jim Robertson officiating. Cremation will follow at the Humber Valley Crematorium and interment will take place on Tuesday, May 1st at 2PM from the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Curling. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
