It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lavenia Alley announce her passing on Sunday, May 6th, 2012 at Charles LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 83 years. She is survived by children: Ellen Jeans, Moncton, NB, Giulia Ball, Edmonton, AB, Stephen Alley, Channel, Shirley Alley, Whitecourt, AB; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Elsie Legge, Winnipeg, MB, Abraham Leamon, Channel, Louis Leamon, Dartmouth, NS, Hubert Leamon, Cape Ray, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Loved by all. Predeceased by husband Stephen Godfrey Alley (1979) and brother Cecile Leamon. Visitation took place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques on Monday. The funeral service took place on Tuesday, May 8th at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Reverend Lewis officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to St. James Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
