It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Jenetta Annie Butler announce her passing after a lengthy battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma on Wednesday, August 22nd 2012, at her family home in Trout River with her family by her side, at the age of 67. She was born on May 19th 1945 to Annie and Daniel Snooks, she married George Butler on July 31st, 1967 and was blessed with 5 daughters. Jenetta was a very strong and determined woman; she has weathered many storms throughout her life. She was self-employed and owned her own confectionary store, Butlers Confectionary for 30 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories 3 daughters: Maureen Snooks (Derek Barnes), Tina (Dennis) Crocker, Gloria Butler (Brent Crocker), 5 grandchildren: Glenn Snooks, Amy Snooks (Timmy), George Crocker (Brooke), Brian Crocker, Matthew Butler all of Trout River and 1 great grandson Dorman White of Trout River, sister Margaret Parsons of Woody Point, brother Russell Snooks of Trout River, sisters in law Whelemena Snooks, Sadie Butler, Ivy Parsons (Harvey) all of Trout River, Classie Crocker of Glenburnie, brother in law Franklin Crocker of Trout River, special friends Annie Barnes, Pansy Crocker, Violet Young, George Crocker and special cousin Eva Anderson, her home care worker Tara Lynn Snooks (Special niece) who was with her until the end and Brooke Parsons. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 41 years George Butler in 2008, her parents Annie and Daniel Snooks, daughters Wavey and Colleen Snooks, mother and father in law Margaret and George Butler, brother Leonard Snooks, sisters and brothers in law: Leona Snooks, Goldie Crocker, Nelson Parsons, Carl Butler, Bramwell Crocker, Frances and Powellus Butler, Bridie and Harold Crocker, Alfreda and Steadman Crocker, Marian and Benjamin Butler and Alice and Garfield Butler. Friends may visit the Salvation Army Church in Trout River on Friday, August 24th, from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 25th, 2012 at 2PM with Major Leighton Patey officiating, interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Trout River.
