WALLACE MACDONALD SR. FRANCOIS, NL DECEMBER 26, 1925 – SEPTEMBER 29, 2012 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wallace MacDonald Sr. announce his passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the age of 86 years. He leaves to mourn his children: Evelyn (George) Cox, Wallace (Bonnie), Robert (Diane), Gladys Bowles, Elaine (Sidney) Pink, Beulah (Kevin) Strickland, Connie (George) Durnford, Sharon (Jerry) Durnford, Minnie (Jesse) Sibley; 28 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sister Minnie (Thomas) Giles; brother-in-law Edward Durnford and a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas & Catherine MacDonald; wife Julia Isabel; son Garland; brothers: Clarence, George, Randel, William, Archibald. Visitation will take place from the family residence in Francois on Tuesday. The funeral service will take place from St. Simon & St. Jude Anglican Church in Francois on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Canon Dawn Barrett officiating. Interment will follow in the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
