THORNE Wilson Age 77 Burnt Islands, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilson Thorne announce his passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on June 24th, 2005 in his 77th year. He leaves to mourn with precious memories his six sons: Fred (Blanche), Wilson (Cynthia), Dorman (Kelly), Cecil (Kathy), all of Burnt Islands, Roland (Faye) of Isle Aux Morts, Isaac (Melvina) of Rose Blanche; four daughters: Alma (Eric) Hodder, Mary Ann (Leander) Ingram, Grace (Edward) Francis, all of Burnt Islands, and Merina (Morgan) Keeping, of Port aux Basques; 24 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters: Frances (Jabez) Herritt, of Burnt Islands, Jessie Walters of Foxroost; brother Simon (Bertha), Halifax, NS; sister-in-law Florence Francis, of Port aux Basques; brother-in-law Claude Kinslow, of Isle aux Morts; as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his wife Mary-Ann (nee Francis); parents Stanley & Winnifred Thorne; brother George and sister-in-law Harriet Thorne. Visitation was held at St. George's Anglican Church, Burnt Islands, Saturday & Sunday from where the funeral service was held on Monday, June 27th, 2005 at 1:00 pm with Rev. H. Vallis officiating.
