ARCHIBALD EARL ALLEN AGE 70 PORT AUX BASQUES, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Archibald Allen announce his passing (after a courageous battle with cancer) at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2005 in his 70th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his wife Sylvia of 48 years; sons: Archie (Pearl), Lou (Mary-Ann), Hubert (Tina), Parker (Jennifer), Draper (Stephanie); daughters: Annie (George) Young, Valsey Allen (Dave), Vicky Allen, Debbie (Shane) Gaudet, Wendy (Henry) Ashford, Sylvia Allen (Joe); 25 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers: Don (Valerie), Bob (Hope), Cecil (Dorothy), Keith (Shirley), Ned (Evelyn); sisters: Carrie (Clifford) Coffin, Rowena Allen; sisters & brothers-in-law: Valsey (Hubert) Dominex, Gerald (Wanda) Payne, Don (Joyce) Felix, Christina Payne, Elaine (Shawn) Thorne, Gertie Target, Tom Arnott; special friends Lester & Darlene Samms and Rhonda Oliver; as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his son Douglas (1971) and parents: Emily & Llewelyn Allen. Visitation took place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, on Thursday 7-9 pm Friday and Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service was held on Sunday, June 27th, 2005 at 2:00 pm from The Salvation Army Citadel with Pastor Lane officiating in Captain Hepditches absence.
