William W. Anthony Port Aux Basques, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late William (Bill) Anthony announce his passing at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Friday, July 8th, 2005 in his 86th year. William was a Navy Veteran who served for his country during World War II. Also, he was an active member in the Royal Canadian Legion - Branch II, Channel-Port aux Basques. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife Phyllis (nee Parsons) of 56 years; daughter Jean Law (Wayne), Halifax; son-in-law John Dawe, Halifax; daughter-in-law Barbara Anthony, St. John's; grandchildren: Brent Law (Jennifer), Halifax, Craig Law (Cheryl), Halifax, Jonathon Anthony (Kim), Ontario, Jennifer Anthony, St. John's, Sherry Kibbler (Brian), Edmonton, Kelly Dawe (Ryan), Edmonton; great-grandson Zachary Law; brothers-in-law: Jim Parsons and Max Parsons (Violet); sister-in-law Elsie; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by son Charlie; daughter Angela; sisters: Sadie, Julia and Stella; brothers: George, Norman and John. Visitation took place on Sunday 7-9 pm and Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 12th at 2:00 pm from St. James Anglican Church with Rev. Hugh Fudge officiating. Interment followed at the St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques. Donations in his memory may be made to the St. James Memorial Fund or Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre Foundation.
