Gladys M. (Legge) Garnier May 1, 1930 … January 14, 2013 Stephenville Crossing, NL Passed away in her 82nd year, Gladys M. Garnier of Stephenville Crossing. Predeceased by her husband, Anthony in 2004; son Clifton in 2012, granddaughter Trina in 1999, parents Edward and Elizabeth Legge; brothers: Hillard and Kevin; and sister: Jenitia Messervey. Leaving to mourn her passing are her three sons: Curtis (Dorothy), Isadore (Dolly) and Kevin; five daughters: Sharron (Clarence) Louvelle, Melita (George) Bennett, Cavelle Garnier, Stella (Werner) Binder and Angela (Tony) Sheppard; daughter-in-law: Pauline Elson; five brothers: Gerald (Beatrice), Leo (Shirley), Clifton (Donna), Walter (Carmilita) and Hilroy; four sisters: Angela (Dorman Alexander), Yvonne (Bob Joudrey), Linda (Roland Williams) and Christine (John Cox); 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, her wonderful caregiver: Jeanette Simon, whom she dearly loved; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, January 18th at 2:00 p.m. from the Assumption Parish with Reverend Gerard Patry officiating. Interment will follow at the Assumption Cemetery, Brook Street. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Assumption Cemetery Fund or the Lung Association.
