Obituary of George Rossiter

It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Rossiter announces his passing on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Calder Health Care Centre in Burgeo at the age of 61 years. George was the son of the late George and Myra Rossiter. He was also predeceased by: his father-in-law Onslow Vatcher; and brothers-in-law: Douglas Vatcher and James Parsons. He leaves to mourn with many precious and fond memories his family: loving wife Nancy of 38 years; children: Jody Rossiter (Dean Eavis), Georgette (Darren) Eavis, and Owen (Krista) Rossiter; grandchildren: Mikalah Rossiter-Eavis and Noah Rossiter; and mother-in-law Leta Vatcher. He will remain forever in the hearts of his brother and sisters: Lloyd (Sarah) Rossiter, Elizabeth (William) Timbury, Jane (Calvin) Pink, Eunice (Wilfred) Cutler, and Maude (Ron) Horst; in-laws: Shirley Vatcher, Milton (Rose) Vatcher, Roy (Angela) Vatcher, May Vatcher (Wayne Baker), Spencer (Tilley) Vatcher, Penny Vatcher, Jane Vatcher, Colleen Vatcher, Joe Vatcher, Dan (Ann Marie) Vatcher, and Linda Vatcher; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. To honour George's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held on Monday January 14th at the St. Boniface Anglican Church in Ramea , officiated by Rev. Charles Harris. Donations to the Calder Health Care Centre in Burgeo in George's memory will be graciously accepted.
