Today, the world is a little grayer, and the sun shines a little less brightly, because today we start a lifetime without you. Lorraine (Mrs. Taylor to so many), passed away peacefully after a brief illness on January 17, 2013, at the age of 81. Predeceased by her husband, Frank, sons Paul, Colin, Frank and Rod, daughter Elizabeth, son-in- law Nick, mother Elizabeth, father Charlie, sister Betty and brother Charles (Bud). Lorraine lived in the Corner Brook area her entire life, raising her large family and working for the Dept. of Social Services until her retirement in 1989. She was involved in community activities including curling, bowling and Sacred Heart Parish in Curling. She was an avid knitter and reader and passed on her love of reading to all her children and grandchildren, especially Erin and Colin who were her constant companions in her later years. She loved an argument, animals, and a good game of cards, and will be missed by her friends at the Echo Club, as well as her large family and extended family. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 21 at 10:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Parish in Curling with Father Edmund Camacho officiating.
