WINNIFRED M. MERCER STEPHENVILLE, NL OCTOBER 27, 1914 … FEBRUARY 3, 2013 Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family Winnie M. Mercer, at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center in Stephenville Crossing, NL on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the age of 98 years. She leaves to mourn with many happy and loving memories her children: Sue (Jimmy) Dinkle, George (Marjorie), Sarah Nippard, Janet (Ken) Tubertt, Jethro (Thelma), Derek (Ruth), Eugene (Mary); 130 grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren; brother Freeman Parsons and a large circle of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Mark and Susanna Parsons; husband Gabriel; sons: Howard, Reginald; granddaughter Paulette; three infant grandchildren; sisters: Nora, Emma; and brother Fred. Visitation will take place from the United Pentecostal Church, York Avenue in Stephenville on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place from Zion Pentecostal Church, Carolina Avenue, Stephenville on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Keith Locke officiating. Interment will follow in the United Pentecostal Section of Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones’ choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
