It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Rosanna Young announce her passing on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL at the age of 81 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Priscilla (Joseph) Bennett, Barbara (Charles) Young, Rose Marie Young, Judy Young (Tom Lyver), Paul Young (Lisa Manning), Christopher Young (Tara Muise), Gregory Young, Jonathan Young; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Jean Dennis as well as other family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth & John Strate; husband George; son William; brothers: Peter Stride, John Stride; sisters: Theresa Gillingham and Mary Strate. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing from 2 … 4 & 7 … 9 p.m. on Monday. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Parish, St. George’s with Father Gerard Patry officiating. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Shallop Cove. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones’ choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
